A week of insights, revelations, NARC (Neurological Associative Reactive Conditioning) and choices / decisions. A number of the readings and audios we have been covering this week came together as a collage. This has raised me to another level of awareness. I am excited and grateful for the decisions which I have made and am wiser now that I have been able to apply the knowledge gained during the past 15 weeks.
The following are extracts from these readings
7 Laws of the mind: (3 of the laws)
– Law of Relaxation:
Mental effort defeats itself ~ exactly the opposite of physical effort. A relaxed, calm state of mind, is the only doorway to progress mentally.
– Law of Subconscious
“As soon as the subconscious accepts the idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7, to manifest demand ~ accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.”
– Law of Growth
“Whatever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies.”
– Og Mandino Greatest Sales Man in the World
* “I am nature’s greatest miracle.
I have been given eyes to see and a mind to think and now I know a great secret of life for I perceive, at last, that all my problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities in disguise. I will no longer be fooled by the garments they wear for mine eyes are open. I will look beyond the cloth and I will not be deceived.”
* “No beast, no plant, no wind, no rain, no rock, no lake had the same beginning as I, for I was conceived in love and brought forth with a purpose. In the past I have not considered this fact but it will henceforth shape and guide my life.”
– Hannel – Master Keys Part 15
* “7. All conditions and experiences that come to us do so for our benefit. Difficulties and obstacles will continue to come until we absorb their wisdom and gather from them the essentials of further growth.”
* 36 ……. “That our actions are not governed by knowledge, but by custom, precedent and habit. That the only way we can get ourselves to apply knowledge is by a determined conscious effort.
– The Strangest Secret (Earl Nightingale)
“Everything that’s really worthwhile in life came to us free:
our minds, our souls, our bodies, our hopes, our dreams, our ambitions, our intelligence, our love of family and children and friends and country.
All these priceless possessions are free.”
The “aha” moment that stuck happened after a particular problem I had been working though during the week.
I had been working through the process of doing a specific task which I had been postponing and when I had carried it out earlier in the week I did not achieve the desired outcome. After reflecting on the matter and what I could improve, I made some decisions and applied NARC. The following day I set out all fired-up and ready to do the work, only to have the plan scuppered by a dental emergency. Still with my eye on the goal I shifted meetings and the planned work activity. Just as the meeting was ending I got a family call and was about to fob the family member off when Earl Nightingale’s words “Everything that’s really worthwhile in life came to us free” came up from my subconscious. I there and then told the family member to join me for a coffee meeting. The time with my family member was amazing and I proceeded to do the planned activity after the coffee meeting / date. Now NARC was resonating through each task I did in the activity because what I dearly wanted was to have a lifestyle with the flexibility to make such decisions.
So to draw this to a conclusion from Og, “problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities … – … and I will not be deceived. I was conceived in love and brought forth with a purpose”. And from Hannel “All conditions and experiences that come to us do so for our benefit” and “our actions are not governed by knowledge, but by custom, precedent and habit”.
To me the gratifying insight was when the words “everything that’s really worthwhile in life came to us free” flooded into my mind enabling me to appropriate the laws of Relaxation, Subconscious and Growth. Probably the biggest payoff was that NARC is now very active and spurring me on – breaking the status quo.
